The residents’ sitting-room, on the first floor, has an outside balcony and spectacular views to the Mendip Hills. The sitting-room is an area where residents are welcome to entertain their visitors and guests.
The sitting room has a flat screen TV, DVD player, and a well-stocked library which also has books provided by North Somerset Library Service. An electronic piano is available and, if required, can be played using headphones to avoid disturbing others. The sitting room is also used for communal activities, such as the monthly coffee morning, weekly Quaker Meeting for worship, Holy Communion, Keep Fit classes, Film Group, card making, card playing, as well as for poetry evenings and visits by guest speakers. Sing-songs are popular too.
Within the communal sitting room is a small kitchenette which has a microwave oven, a dishwasher and facilities for residents to make tea and coffee.
Regular local shopping trips and occasional day trips further afield are organised for those who wish to take part.
